Whew!

by J.J. DiBenedetto

I’ve spent all afternoon getting updated versions of all the books uploaded onto Kindle and also Smashwords.  It is very tedious work!

The reason I decided to do this was that I wanted to add links for the next book, “Dream Home” to all of the existing books.  And as long as I was doing that, I decided to go ahead and fix the typos I was aware of, make sure that all the books had the same information at the end (links for readers to go straight to Amazon to leave a review; the address for this website, my email address, links to the audiobooks, etc).  And I did a decent update on the Box of Dreams collection  – updating the files for all five books in that document, too.

And then I had to create a separate version for Smashwords, because their formatting requirements are different than Amazon.  But it’s all done now.  All the books are as up-to-date and correct as I can make them, with the nice new covers, and everything else done.  The only task left is to do the same thing for the paperback editions, but that’s a little more involved, and I don’t have the energy to do it today.  I also don’t know how to do something I’d really like to do – include the image from Ami Low’s original handpainted covers on the inside back cover of the books.  I’m not sure if that’s even an option, or, if it would add enough cost to the paperbacks that it wouldn’t be worth it.  So there’s a research project for another day!
