The End (and the Beginning?)

by J.J. DiBenedetto

“Dream Child” is finished!  At least the first draft of it is.  I’m very happy with how it turned out; the ending worked itself out very nicely.

Now I have to go through, edit and re-write as necessary, and then I can figure out what to do to get people to hopefully buy these books.

In anticipation of that, I’ve been talking to a friend, Ami Low,  who used to be the graphic designer where I work, and who’s now working for herself.  She doesn’t have a website for me to link to, but you can see her preliminary sketch for the cover of “Dream Student” right here:

How cool is that?  And it’s going to look even better when it’s in full, glorious color.  I completely realize that if I do end up getting the book(s) published via the traditional route, the cover will be entirely out of my hands, but I want this for myself regardless.  And maybe someday, if I’m feeling brave enough, I’ll post my initial MS Paint sketch that led to the design above…

And I’ve even got some thoughts for a fourth book.  “Dream Family” would probably be the title; I may start on that in the next few days.
